The law firm PORTOS, now located on the 25th and 26th floors of the tallest building in Prague, has entered a new chapter in its history with the expertise of our member, CAPEXUS.
The firm has recently undergone significant changes, including a rebranding and an expansion of its office space. The newly renovated 25th floor, spanning 800 sqm, was completed between November 2023 and February 2024.

The redesigned PORTOS offices embody a vision that respects the historical values of the legal profession while embracing the present and future of strategic legal consulting.
Response to Dynamic Growth
In response to the dynamic growth of the PORTOS brand, which is celebrating 31 years in the legal services market, CAPEXUS designed a space that reflects the firm’s prestige and innovative approach.
Recognition and Challenges
The new offices also earned PORTOS the recognition of being ranked second Employer of the Year in the recent TOP Employers 2024 survey. CAPEXUS encountered several unique challenges in creating a space that balances the traditional perception of the legal world with progressive innovation. Design elements like tree-shaped slats, which unify the space organically, are featured prominently.
Innovative Features
Another notable feature is the transition from carpet to vinyl slats between the corridor and the relax lounge and kitchenette, providing a noise-free and comfortable tread. A large green wall and uniform beige interior create a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Modern touches include rounded glass partitions and advanced lighting controls via the DALI system, allowing centralised management of light intensity and temperature.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability was a key focus for CAPEXUS. The project incorporated modern LED lighting with low consumption, a layout that reduces light needs, and materials from Czech suppliers and renewable sources. PEFC-certified wood from sustainable forests and Cradle to Cradle certified conference chairs demonstrate this commitment.
Blending Tradition and Innovation
The renovation of these top-floor offices, done alongside the rebranding, reflects PORTOS’s new identity and philosophy of strategic legal consulting. The design integrates the firm’s rich history with its future ambitions, combining tradition with innovation while prioritising environmental sustainability through careful material and technology choices.
