Transforming Enerjisa Üretim Headquarters: Diem's Role in Delivering a Modern and Sustainable Office Renovation

Enerjisa Üretim, headquartered in Ataşehir, Istanbul, embarked on a significant office renovation covering 3,000 m², with the goal of transforming the space into a modern, sustainable working environment.

Our member, Diem, played a crucial role in ensuring its success. The renovation, categorised as an office fit-out, was completed in two phases. Phase 1 occurred from May 2024 to October 2024, followed by Phase 2, which concluded in February 2024.

Project Challenges and Strategic Solutions by Diem

Diem’s civil Engineer Msc Bülent Canik, who managed the project, highlighted the challenges encountered during the renovation. Diem’s expertise in process management was vital in overcoming these difficulties. "The biggest challenge encountered during the project was process management. In the first phase, disruptions in the work schedule made the progress of the project difficult. However, these difficulties were overcome with additional subcontractor reinforcements and strict schedule monitoring. In this way, the problems encountered in process management were effectively resolved and the project was completed on time."

Diem's Innovative and Sustainable Approaches

Diem introduced several innovative solutions to the project, most notably the integration of NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) and autopot systems within the office environment. These closed-loop systems were designed for indoor plant cultivation, particularly using matriarchal plant seeds. This not only promoted sustainability but also allowed employees to interact with the plants and use them in the office kitchen, providing a hands-on, sustainable experience.

Achievements and Key Learnings with Diem's Expertise

Diem’s ability to quickly address and resolve challenges as they arose was a key success factor in the project. The team's capacity for rapid, effective problem-solving ensured that the renovation stayed on track. Additionally, the implementation of NFT and autopot systems, along with the construction of a life-size wind turbine model, provided valuable insights into sustainable and innovative technologies.

Final Reflections

The Enerjisa Üretim Headquarters Renovation Project, executed by Diem, stood out for its application of modern technologies, sustainable practices, and innovative materials, complemented by traditional elements. According to Project Manager Bülent Canik, the project gained attention for its forward-thinking applications in both technology and sustainability.

This renovation not only succeeded in creating a contemporary and eco-friendly office space but also provided important lessons in process management and the application of new technologies. Diem's contribution to this project has set a notable reference point for future initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable and innovative work environments.
