ČEZ subsidiary ČEZ ESCO prepares to strengthen its workplace engineering offer following the acquisition of Studio Alliance member CAPEXUS, one of the leading Czech companies engaged in the design, planning and implementation of modern and energy-efficient office spaces, alongside the revitalization of outdated commercial buildings.
The merger sees the two brands joining forces in the push for decarbonisation and greater energy efficiency in commercial buildings, creating a strong response to the high demand for asset revitalisation in the real estate market.
CAPEXUS holds a strong competitive advantage when it comes to the implementation of complex projects, due to owning its own architectural and design studio. With a team that includes specialists in modern BIM design, CAPEXUS can support clients throughout the whole design and build journey, from initial design to project implementation. A similar approach is also taken by other ČEZ ESCO subsidiaries.
“The same revolution that is happening for buildings also involved cars, for example,” said ČEZ ESCO CEO Kamil Čermák. “Cars are becoming increasingly smart, sophisticated devices, with great emphasis on air quality, lighting or intelligent temperature settings. The rules for their energy efficiency and climate footprint are also being tightened. CAPEXUS will strengthen our Building Energy cluster and expand our portfolio with office building orders, cooperating especially with our subsidiaries AZ KLIMA and HORMEN.”
During its 10 years of business, CAPEXUS has transformed the working environment of over 400 companies, including Avast, Jan Becher Pernod Ricard, DHL, T-Mobile, Siemens, UniCredit Bank, Vodafone and others.
“We are creating unique offices to help companies grow, but we also want to evolve further as a business, which is why we have joined forces with ČEZ ESCO,” explains Daniel Matula, Managing Partner at CAPEXUS. “Energy-efficient buildings in connection with the latest trends in sustainable building technologies is a great opportunity for the future.” - Roman Gazdík, ČEZ spokesperson.
