Navigating the Intersection of ESG and Economic Viability
ESG-compliant building renovations often raise concerns about economic viability. However, studies reveal that energy-efficient buildings, meeting current standards, generate up to 16% higher revenues compared to "Worst Performance Buildings." apoprojekt’s experience emphasises that impactful improvements in the CO₂ balance can result from smaller, cost-effective measures. Energy reduction, local recovery, and energy production, such as through photovoltaic systems, are key focal points.
Decarbonisation Paths Tailored to Clients' Needs
apoprojekt experts initiate the process by conducting a thorough building analysis. Subsequently, potential decarbonisation paths are presented, leading to outcomes like the 1.5°C house or energy efficiency class A. apoprojekt offers four distinct variants – High Performance, Best Value, Minimal Invest, and Cost Saving. During consultations, economic viability is evaluated, considering investment costs, government funding potential, energy cost savings, and payback periods. Clients can choose a tailored package, considering the individual cost-benefit ratio, whether it's Minimal Invest or High Performance.
Degrees Celsius: A Transparent Benchmark
apoprojekt employs the XDC model from Climate-Tech company right°, using degrees Celsius as a transparent benchmark. This software assesses buildings in terms of CO₂ emissions and climate impact. On average, German office buildings are at 3.3°C. Through ESG-compliant measures, apoprojekt gradually optimises this balance, aligning with the Paris 1.5°C target.
